See how you feel/recover after the race but 2-3 weeks would be a good break. You can skip the transition phase for your next cycle.

In the new 16 Week Big Mountain Training Plan 2.0, there is Muscular Endurance Weighted Climb starting Week 10.
A slightly lower grade trail that offers a long uphill hike would be preferred.

“I ONLY compare the first and second half of that middle HOUR, right? (The first and second 30 minute intervals). So I don’t count the warm up or warm down portions…..”
– that is correct
Thank you all for checking and for sharing your feedback. I have reported this issue and will hopefully we will get it fixed soon.
Response from Scott –
We’ve had good luck just using the biggest single day of the multi-day event. I hope this helps.
Nik,
Have you done the AnT test?
Can you please make your AeT test public and share the training peaks link?
I would not compare your thresholds with others.
Can you please check this link and see if you can see relevant forum topics?

You will have the flexibility to adjust your intensity/volume to meet your needs.
– Do the expected duration times for these sessions include warm-up? Seems like they do, but want to confirm.
Core Strength exercise is warm-up
– The description for the core part of the session prescribes resting for 30 seconds between exercises. Nothing is mentioned for the strength portion – does this mean “rest as long as you need between exercises” (few minutes)?
30 seconds rest between exercises for General Strength as well
– Similarly, when doing multiple sets, should there be a longer rest between sets? And what about between core and strength parts of the workout?
Generally 2-3 minute rest

Thank you Frank for sharing the results. The test looks good. I think your AeT now is within 10% of your AnT
Shashi on December 30, 2021 at 1:29 pm · in reply to: AeT Threshold and HR zones – how often to re-test and re-establish zone 2 max HR #61317I would recommend doing a heart rate drift test to get a better estimate of your AeT and then redoing the test in a month or so.
Thanks for sharing the TP links. Based on the first test, AeT is likely around 145-150.
For your next test, do a longer warm-up (compared to the second run/test), allow your heart rate to stabilize at 150 and then do the test for one hour.
