Will’s expertise lies in preparing his athletes holistically for ultra and mountain races so they strongly cross the finish lines. He believes in making sustainable athletes who perform consistently.
Will Weidman’s coaching resume speaks for itself. His 70+ athletes have crossed the finish lines at UTMB, CCC, OCC, Grindstone 100, Bryce 100, Val d’Aran and Kosciuszko by UTMB, Vermont 100, Zion Ultras, Miwok, Rio Del Lago, and Blackall 100, to name a few. None of his athletes have ever gotten a DNF.
Will takes a holistic approach to coaching that includes smart and structured training, strength and mobility training, mental preparation, and optimized nutrition. Will leverages his 17 years of data science and analytics background and utilizes this to coach his athletes.
An accomplished athlete himself, Will is a veteran of 100+ trail, marathon, and ultra races worldwide with about two decades of running experience. Will has stood on podiums several times and has many top-10 finishes to his name. He was the third American finisher at the 2021 UTMB race. Will finished 72nd overall in the 2019 UTMB, a remarkable position among 1,556 participants.
