Gabe finds joy in navigating the challenges of every kind of running, but especially finds joy in the ups and downs of long distance mountain running. He has been coaching athletes for more than a decade with a passionate, supportive, balanced, and detail-oriented approach. He is especially adept at helping athletes train for enormous goals while keeping balance with family, work, and other life commitments.
As a professional athlete, some of Gabe’s accomplishments include wins at Bighorn 100 and Orcas Island 100, 2nd place finishes at High Lonesome 100, Scout Mountain 100, IMTUF 100, and a 4th place finish at Hardrock 100. Gabe is particularly passionate about multi-day runs and races, with a win at The Rut Trifecta, a 3rd place finish at The Dragon’s Back Race, and he was a top international finisher at The Snowman Race in Bhutan. He also likes to scheme up personal challenges, like running 180 miles from his front door in Lander, Wyoming to the town square in Jackson, Wyoming. Gabe previously held the FKT on the Wind River High Route, and still holds the FKT on various big mountains in Wyoming.
He takes the winter months seriously as well, and has coached athletes for the American Birkebeiner 55k and the The Grand Traverse ski races. Gabe himself has skied 145-miles solo across and back Yellowstone National Park.
