Hi Jane, thank you for a fast response! I checked the TP. Indeed, the 24 weeks Expedition training plan is updated, but Hut to Hut Ski touring plan is not. It seams more like “work in process”. Please see attachment.

Thank you Scott, you confirmed my own thoughts. Finally I decided to go with 24 week mountaineering plan. I read a lot of good reviews of this plan here in different forums and is seams it gives best periodization and focuses on endurance base. I generally do quite a lot of trekking in summer and ski touring in winter and believe these to activities can be nicely supported by this plan. Correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks again!Hi, if you have no premium TP account you can also use https://runalyze.com/. They have this feature in their free account
Thank you Scott,
Indeed CMF workouts are not that easy. They are a good mix of strength, balance/stabilisation and endurance exercises. And they are fun. That was a reason why I wanted to incorporate them in general strength part of the plan. Based on your answer I understand that my intention make sense.
Currently I do once per week hill sprints WO and once a week CMF and I feel nice gains in power and in overall strength.Thank you for your support!

TerryLui, thank you for your detailed answer. Considering everything, I believe I will follow your advice. Aerobic endurance is what I need most of the time in the mountains in winter as well as in summer!
Take care and enjoy the coming summer!Oups, I meant 5 – 6 days events (rock & ice, graciers,…)
Thank you for coming back to me, Shashi and Terry
In summer I plan to do some climbing and trekking around Chamonix France, those will not be more than 5-6 gays events and than I am planning to start preparing for skitourning season. So just wonder if 24 weeks plan will cover my both needs?Andrey on May 12, 2021 at 9:12 am · in reply to: Haute Route Plan – heart rate drift with longer workouts #53917Scott, you say “ I’ve never seen anyone at any age who didn’t see gains from a properly structured aerobic base period (provided they are already very fit with a high aerobic base).” Do you mean that if someone is just starting his journey into the endurance sports and is not very fit with high aerobic base, will be better of starting his training in higher zones (Z3 and Z4)?
Thank you Shashi, that’s probably the best idea!
Yeah, I believe 2:1 or 3:1 makes more sense.
Thank you all!
