To point, your comment, “[W]ear your heart rate monitor during different types of work events,” is spot on. I started doing this a few months ago and while it might make a mess of the my overall quantitive data (TSS, etc) it is yielding qualitative fruit. Might be age, might be other, but even a hard few days of lift-serve ski instructor work can leave me wiped – mentally and physically.
I’m going to ‘keep on keeping on’ this season, and our next session, and focus on banking knowledge, if not 100+ CTLs.
