Hey Gang,
I’m Lianna Miller.

What a rad group of ladies.

I’m here to have a bit more structure and accountability to keep me getting outside. I get to work as an engineer in the sustainability world, which is super cool, but it can also take over my life really easily.

I’m also lucky enough to live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I was serious about mountain biking for a long time, really enjoy nordic skiing, and do a few modest ski mountaineering trips every year — Got to sneak in some great early season lines in Chamonix this December. It was my first time there and now I’m dreaming up ways to get back :). Has anyone here done the Haute Route?

Last session I did the “regular” UA mountaineering group with some buddies, really excited to join the cool kids club (FUA).

Raja, tendon problems are the pits! I have had a ton of challenges with achilles tendonitis. Spent years chasing it down, and the core issue turned out to be super tight hip flexors. In addition to high quality PT, I also did a 21 day hip opener stretching class with 5 minute holds.

Not sure if this is the same one as Mark, but it was from a guy named Lucas Blackwood. His group is called Yogabody and I was very impressed. I don’t recommend him lightly, he knew his stuff, explained the science while we were doing those 5 minute holds.

On yoga days I sub in sessions from that class since my hip flexors need regular attention.

Hey gang, I’m in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Training for general fitness and some moderate ski mountaineering goals — specifics for 2023 season are TBD.
A long time ago I was a pro bike racer and have been a little…..allergic….to structure since I retired from racing. But time heals all wounds, and I’m feeling ready for a return. Looking forward to rejoining the ranks of “the coached” in a different sport.
