    Hi guys,

I’m very sorry but I recall that Scott Semple stated somewhere that you should not train Z3 and ME workouts at the same time and I can’t find the post anymore.

I’d love to understand why you should not mix Z3 and ME training.

    Best regards

I prescribe Z3 and ME all the time, but not in the same session.

A typical Z3 aerobic workout will be more of a global stress, measured by heart rate, and done without extra weight.

ME will be more local to the muscles being worked, and the actual intensity covers a wide range. It could be Z3 in the legs but Z1/2 by heart rate for something like heavy uphill carries. Or both HR and local fatigue could be high if it’s a heavy jumping session.
