I think it depends Tricia.. sounds like your pretty active, on the aerobic end at that. Honestly… 24 weeks is overkill. I used it for Denali and it was spot on but I think 16 weeks is right there. Keep doing what your doing then plug it in

Henryhampton on January 30, 2020 at 4:03 pm · in reply to: 24 Week Training Program – Round Two #37148Thanks for the Heads Up Scott! Went back into the previous workouts and changed the rTSS to hrTSS where I could and the Fitness Level came up a bit! One more quick one if you could.. want to be able to add a picture to the forum profile and have tried every which way from Sunday.. got any ideas…

Henryhampton on January 19, 2020 at 4:31 pm · in reply to: Denali: Sled hauling training in 24 week plan #36537Thanks for that,, One more thing Scott. On weighted climb workouts it would seem that a fully loaded pack,, bulky like, would be nest rather than the weight vests I see out there.. Center of Gravity and core etc.. you think that makes a difference?
Henryhampton on January 19, 2020 at 4:08 pm · in reply to: Recommended mountaineering watches #36535This topic has gone a bit stale but I’m ordering up a Garmin Fenix 6x Pro.. Steve, I waded through the DC rainmaker reviews on the Corps Vertix but at the end they seemed to think that it was about the same money without the bells and whistles.. The one thing I was interested in as it related to this forum was the acclimatization schedule within the apps (both Garmin and Coros). It looks like the Garmin stops the acclimatization schedule after 4,000m/13,123ft.. perhaps liability, no clue. Going to take a swing at it and let everyone know.. Here’s Ray from DC Rainmakers review on the Fenix 6 series. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2019/08/garmin-fenix6-pro-solar-series-review.html#

I looked through the different profiles for different workouts you can program in the Training Peaks software and there isn’t a Mountain Climb profile etc.. I was sure that there would be an algorithm that could account for the clients weight, carried weight, elevation gain, time and heart rate to get an accurate Tss.. perhaps not.. The software is super awesome regardless
Cheers for the reply Steve.. 15 percent is the max on every treadmill I have visited in gyms.. funny why that is,, probably liability
Henryhampton on February 6, 2019 at 11:02 am · in reply to: Couple Q’s about hrTSS vs. rTSS (did something change?) #16495Honestly this is annoying.. having to go in and manually enter fudge factors to every workout is too much for busy people.. I just did the actual vo2 max/Aet/Ant test and recalculated the Tss and it went from 47 to 42.. I’m going to leave it as it is and not modify any of the rTss or hrTss settings and shoot for 100 figuring that if I can get there I KNOW im above the fitness targets for game day..
just getting started here and finished the Zone 3 ME workout on a treadmill with 15 percent grade.. im in Michigan. there are no “hills”. being creative is super imperative on all of this especially being an airline pilot on the road all the time. Questions though,, if the treadmill is all you got is it better to go more vertical at 15 percent grade or increase weight..
