Thanks for the reply. My easy pace 2 years ago was around a 9:15/mile, after injuries and surgeries, it is around a 10:50 so I know all to well that my pace will quicken.

I too thought it was weird that the 50k plan does say 70-80% of AeT for some the runs which would put me at Zone 0-1. I am in the same boat as Sam that my AeT and AnT are within 10% but I am not fast.

I will say that I am in the same boat. But without having to restrict calories, I have had some success with intermittent fasting. It really makes you aware of when you are truly hungry vs bored. And since I consume all my meals in an 8 hour window, with black coffee before and water after the window, it makes it so I am done about 4 hours before I goto sleep at night. I have been at the same weight for about 3 years after slimming down 70 lbs and seemed to have plateaued.

My TFTUA arrives today, so I’ll take a look. I started doing the functional runner strength for remedial hip strength already as I know my hips are glutes are weak points.
