I’m finishing my 24 week mountaineering expedition plan, as a preparation to climb Everest this Spring.
Since I’d like to stretch the plan 1 week or 2, I wonder if you’d recommend using the trekking to EBC as the taper period, instead of using the last week of the plan doing short 30min runs.
What are your thoughts?
Yes, definitely use the BC trek as the taper period. If you are fit enough to climb Everest the BC trek should (better) be a mellow walk in the park for you. Just don’t push hard during this time as you will also be at altitude.
