jobois- I would check out a the La Sportiva Akasha. It has a lot of cushion and protection like a Hoka, but it is a bit closer to the ground and more stable.

Hello,
I am just looking at some good shoe recommendations for high mileage. Currently, I run in Hokas and am training for a 50 miler using your plan. But just sprained my ankle (nothing serious) and am looking for a shoe that has good cushion, support, and traction, but is less tippy.Thanks for any recs!
