adding climbing training to a mountaineering plan

    Hello. I am completing mountaineering training plans from uphill athlete. I climb via ferrata / klettersteig routes. mostly in Europe, usually 4-10 hours.

    What type of workout is best for muscular endurance for climbing? on which days of the week should such workouts be completed?

    🙂 Just kidding. It will entirely depend on your schedule and recovery status. ME work should always be done fully recovered.

    When you say “ME for climbing”, do you mean in the legs or arms? Regardless, the principles are the same. THink of it as “hypergravity” training, and then you can use a similar protocol with any exercise that resembles your goal event.
