Perfect! That is exactly what I was looking for. Lines up with my previous experience and is the reason I came to TftUA!

I would like to know the answer to this as well. With all this training, come race day what is the suggested zone(s) to stay in for best results? Should one adjust given an A, B or C goal event?
Michael
Thank you. That all makes sense.

The answer I came away with (and what I’ve been doing) is to add 20 TSS.
This is all great info, thank you.
Are the fudge factors for elevation based on ascent only? If you run up and then back down a 1000′ hill and are using hrTSS do you add 10TSS for only the 1000′ gain or do you add 20TSS for the 1000′ up and the 1000″ back down?
Scott,
Thank you. It looks like everything lines up with what I pulled from the book and here in the Forum. Your point about recovery is well taken. Given the main four zones, I added below Z1 as “Recovery” and above Z4 as “Capacity” just so there was a “bucket” to capture the data in for long term tracking.
Thanks again and recommending Uphill Athlete to all my like-minded friends.
Thanks again.
