Jack and Seth shared this interesting and informative podcast with me. The performance and recovery aspects alone are worth the listen. But a great take away for me was understanding why we slow down when we begin to over heat. It’s related to the enzyme pyruvate kinase and its effect on ATP synthesis. An actionable lesson is that we need to ensure that our athlete’s conduct their HR drift tests in cool conditions if we hope to get meaningful results.

    Thanks Jack and Seth.

Thanks for sharing this Scott, I really appreciate all the knowledge at my finger tips. I often get way too caught up in work and it’s so nice to have these resources at my finger tips. I do always (eventually) find (make) the time to listen.
