For those who don’t have regular access to hills, is it better to do workouts on the stair master (aka stair mill) or the treadmill at max incline (usually 15%)? Thanks!

I have the same question! To do an hour on the stair master seems impossible to me as fatigue kicks in. So far I’ve been doing in-line @ 12-15%. From this week I’ll try to split Z2 between the stair master and treadmill.

Stairmaster will definitely be harder than working on treadmill with incline. I would say do which ever one you actually enjoy doing AND that can you sustain in Z2. If you can’t sustain Z2 on the stair mill, you can try splitting up the time and see how that feels!
