I’m training for my first ultra, a 55K at the end of May. I started the 20-week Intro to Ultra Running plan this week but I have 29 weeks until event.
I’m thinking about adding one extra base block but what should I do with the 5 remaining weeks? More base or maybe specific strength or build? Or something else?
If you are new to this sport or have not been running 25mile/40k weeks for a while you would be wise to add another few weeks of easy build up. You can never have too much base.
