What about multiple workout days

    What’s the thinking here about whether a second aerobic workout in a day is good? I’m thinking an hour run in the morning, go to work, maybe a 45 minute Z1 bike ride after work, or maybe another easy run. Is this approximately the same as running 1:45 or 2:00 in the morning? Or is there a big drop-off in benefit when breaking them up?

    That is actually one of the best things you can do. This pushes mitochondrial adaptions dramatically.

    I don’t think it’s Uphill Athlete orthodoxy, but damn if it didn’t work for me.

    A 2hr run is probably a bigger training stimulus than 2 1-hr runs (on account of glycogen depletion), but in my experience it’s also a bigger recovery hit.
