Hi. I am a calisthenics athlete and I have been into cycling and running in the past. Im curious exactly how much Zone 2 training (ONLY zone 2 or below) i can do before it affects the muscular adaptation signals. I love riding bike and would like to more but I’m always scared I’m burning upper body strength.
The only issue I might see is that you lack enough carbohydrates. If you fuel sufficiently I don’t see a problem. The adoptions through training are very local.
