At this point I think everyone who is connected on TrainingPeaks and responded with the Google form as to their choice of Basic or Advanced level has had the plan applied to their TrainingPeaks calendar. If you are not seeing a training plan on your calendar starting next week please let me know! Mark@uphillathlete.com

    Hi Mark

A request: would you please modify my plan, so the rest day falls on Sunday instead of Monday?

    Thanks

Umer, Sorry we can’t modify the plans with regards to order of the workouts etc on our end as they are Dynamic plans so if we adjust anything it affects everyone’s plan globally. You can move things around in your plan by dragging and dropping workouts in a different order and it won’t affect the master plan.

Well noted, So I will have to drag every workout by just one day 🙂

    Thanks

Having not even been able to get started yet, when am I going to be too far behind for this program to be useful for me. I understood almost nothing in today’s Zoom call and have been unable to get my Polar H10 monitor to pair with the app and no support from Polar, so am “dead in the water” at this point.

It is very possible I am not sophisticated enough for this program – I had not expected it to be so reliant on technology. Any advice?

Mark: Is there a simple way/place to see the difference between the beginner and more advanced plans? Now that they’re loaded I have a strong hunch I’ll fall right in between.

Jonathan- There is not a simple way to view them sadly, I can unapply the one you currently are on and reapply the other however. For this first 12 week session they are pretty similar in design mostly varying by volume of training. The basic starts at about 5 hours/week total and progresses to 9 where as the advanced. Starts at about 6 and progresses towards 11. You may fall in between and want to adjust the volume either up or down depending. For the next 12 week session we will have 3 levels so there’s a logical progression for everyone currently enrolled but also and entry point for new athletes.

I have been trying for a couple of days now, but I cannot merge indoor walks with the planned Zone 1 Jog/walk & Zone 2 Hike workouts. I tried a different browser, and it didn’t work either.

Is it some bug, or do I need to change some settings/details?

    Thanks

Umer- I looked at your account and I don’t see any “unpaired” workouts. Did you get it to work or maybe you just put that data in manually??

    Hi Mark

It was an issue with past workouts; I moved the planned and actual workouts to the present day, merged those and then moved back to the earlier dates.

    Thanks

Is there some way to get the December and January workouts into Outlook (desktop version) on my computer? November got there somehow using the .ics web link on TP but trying that link again did nothing at all.

I’m hoping the workouts will show up for Dec and Jan – somehow Nov DID manage to be installed.

    Bill,
I looked at the TrainingPeaks help pages. TrainingPeaks syncs their calendar with your outlook – and they said it will show 14 days of future workouts. Your question is really related to Microsoft and TrainingPeaks.
I think that timing is probably related to the typical two week lead time in programming coaching programming used by the thousands of athletes and coaches on TrainingPeaks. Any more and it would probably be awkward and full of revisions.
