No ME in Intro?!

I think I might have made a mistake going with the Intro plan versus Big Vert.
There’s no ME in the Intro?! I’ve read two books and listened to Scott, Steve, and others go on and on about how important muscular endurance workouts are and now I finally buy a plan and it’s absent!
It is my first ultra but it has 50k, and I’m looking to run R2R2R soon after. And I’m in the Sierra quite a bit so going uphill faster there is the big picture motivation. Should I buy another plan? Maybe try to add ME workouts to the Intro?
