Newbie trail runner question about ME

New To UpHill Athlete so apologies if this is a basic question. I am finding that on my long decents of around 4k ft my hamstrings get tight. It’s not a fatigued feeling they just seem to tighten up and I have to take a second to stretch them. Is this a ME issue or something else I need to focus on?

    Hey Danny,
What’s your experience with long descents? Prolonged eccentric contraction, especially if you haven’t yet developed the tolerance, will generate muscular fatigue and soreness.

Also, you could be running low on electrolytes leading to beginning stages of cramps?

If you can provide more insight/background that’ll be helpful.
