ME Minimum Effective dose?

Hey all. I remember reading somewhere about a minimum effective dose for muscular endurance work, but I can’t for the life of me remember where. If anyone remembers, can you point me in that direction?

Essentially I’m trying to figure out how soon before my ‘event’ (should it happen) that I want to start adding a ME period (weighted uphill hikes.) I’m new to this whole process and amidst all this turmoil, I’m about 4 weeks into a base building period, with 7 weeks until my event. My assumption is to start ME work about 5 weeks before, and that gives me a short ME duration of 4 weeks with about 8 days of taper to my event, then a week or two off and back into transition.

(EDIT: I’m right at approximately 8-9% AeT/AnT spread, but this event is high value for me and I’m ok with delaying long term gains to arrive as strong as possible.)

It’s totally individual. If you’re new to ME, then 4-6 weeks is a good guess.
