Does the Stair Test work if I’m primarily a swimmer?

Because of joint issues, I do one intense hill workout every 7 to 10 days and otherwise do swimming or light walking. Just curious if the stair test is intended to reflect general fatigue or localized muscle fatigue specific to uphill activities?
(FWIW, I’m in a state of questioning everything because I’ve been hit with what felt like sudden-onset bout of OT, even though things like stair test, heart rate, pace all seemed to be improving.)

Sorry for the delay in responding to your question.

How are you feeling now? What were the OT symptoms you were seeing?
