I really like the various flavors of grivel auto-locking biners, and prefer them to screw gates — they’re faster (after you practice a bit), you can’t forget to lock them, and they don’t come unscrewed. My favorite is the Tau https://grivel.com/products/tau-k12l, I’ve used it a ton ice and alpine climbing without ever icing it up, but I’m sure it’d be possible to do it.

What is the best (function well in cold and easy to open with big gloves) locking carabiner (triple action) for really cold weather (e.g. Denali)?
While I haven’t tried all locking carabiner (triple action) but I have seen many of them get stuck (don’t open) while on mountain. Any recommendation?
