    Hi everybody:

How long can be the max strength period? I remember that in TFNA it said that more than 8 weeks would not significantly improve strength, but in the article Steve House on the ice and mixed climbing plan is said to last up to 32 weeks …

    What is your recommendation?

    Thank you

    Hi,
What I meant to say (and I would love a specific reference so I can make sure I didn’t inadvertently mis-inform people) was this:
    1) General strength lasts 2-8 weeks depending on the athlete.
    2) Max Strength: 8 weeks or until a plateau is noted.
    3) Muscular Endurance: 8 weeks or until a plateau is noted.
    4) Max Strength: 8 weeks or until a plateau is noted.
    5) Muscular Endurance: 8 weeks or until a plateau is noted.

Does that answer your question. I can’t imagine anyone benefiting from 32 weeks straight of a max strength style protocol.

I sincerely apologize if I made a mistake in my article. I’ll be re-reading it asap to try to uncover the error.

Steve, thank you very much for the clarification. Maybe it’s me who has misinterpreted your article, but with your answer everything is clear.
    a greeting
