For zone 1 or low zone 2 training is running required. Or can a stair Mill be substituted if the zones and duration are basically the same? Is the Aerobic Base training equivalent? And what are the muscular training differences?
I current run about 25 to 30 miles per week mostly in high zone 1 and low zone 2. Lately I have been skipping the runs and doing an equivalent amount of time on the stair master in same zones followed by a quad mill workout to simulate backcountry skiing.
