Mild illness and training

    Hi all,

I have read the threads on this topic besides the advice on the book and seems the consensus is to stop training after first symptoms of a respiratory mild illness and to restart slowly once most symptoms are gone and energy levels are back.

Personally, I found that some exercise often clears some persistent symptoms like a mildly sore throat that can linger for a couple of weeks.

After reading a bit on this topic, I found some research point to exercise actually improving the body’s immune response.

Naturally we all respond differently to exercise, but I wonder what other views are on this and whether light exercise should actually be encouraged in order to stop an oncoming infection instead of stopping fully.

    Thank you
    Diogo
