I have used the 20wks/50K plan detailed in the Uphill Athlete book (p. 291, fig. 11.7) with good success in the past. I would now like to move to a slightly longer plan geared toward a hard 50K race in June /July ’24 that would also include a shorter, 20k/25K B race earlier in the season. The next training plan in the book (same page, fig. 11.8) seems to be a good starting point, but it is geared toward twice the distance (100K as A race, 50K as B race).
Any suggestions on how to adapt it for shorter distances?
