I’m a 52 year old with 35 years of bike racing in my legs much of it within structured training plans. Last week I completed the 8 week hut to hut ski tour training plan (with some serious gaps b/c of illness) but the spring tour just isn’t in the cards due to work. I’m now shooting for a week in Chamonix in July (~15 weeks from now) to explore new objectives including rock and alpine climbing both of which are new for me. Not knowing exactly what I’ll be doing, what plan do you recommend? Any modifications given that I just wrapped up the hut to hut program? For what it’s worth, I’ll add that I’m at the climbing gym 2-3x/wk and did the Haute Route ski tour 2 yrs ago. Hope that paints a picture. Learning a lot from your book and site. Thanks for any advice.
