Why are you even considering 100 mile ultra at this stage?

Thank you for your input, Scott!
About TP metrics: I have not adjusted HR zones in TP, I entered only resting, max and threshold HR values.
I estimated my AeT of 135 based on “nose breathing” method but I think I have set it too low (just to be on the safe side of error):
1) I have problems breathing through nose;
2) on a good day I can run for hour or more and my Pa:Hr will be below 5% mark even with average heart rate of 150;I have done some actual testing in a lab few years ago when my AeT was estimated to be 146 and AnT of 188 but during the test I was “nervous” and my heart rate was elevated significantly. At that time it was not unusual for me to finish half marathon with average HR of 185.
Most likely it is time to repeat the test …For my runs TP is automatically calculating in “TSS” – probably because my Forerunner 935 is uploading also Power data for runs. If I convert TSS=235, then hrTSS=73 and rTSS=126.
At the same time I’m providing TSS (not hrTSS) for 1hour of max strength of 65 and that is most likely incorrect as I feel significantly more tired after such workout compared to 1h easy run with TSS=130 …
I have Garmin Forerunner 935 which is basically Fenix 5 in different (plastic and lighter) shell.
Regarding the tracking of recovery/stress – Garmin knows well enough how to track stress and load caused by running, cycling and swimming and it will mostly ignore everything else. For example, Garmin 935 will suggest that I need significantly more recovery time after 1 hour easy run than after 1h 30 strength training session even if I can repeat such running every day but certainly need at least 2 days between strength training.
Set is:
4 reps of step ups
4 reps of push upsSo you are definitely doing it wrong.

I’m using Garmin 935 for about a year now, chose it over Fenix 5 because of lightness. Functionality is exactly the same between those two (Fenix 5x has maps feature in addition and is bigger).
Battery easily lasts more than 12 hours, it has altimeter and counts stairs and steps. It can remind to move (I have disabled that feature) and display call information etc. 24 hour always on optical heart rate monitor (although you have to wear it quite tight around arm and it is not as good as chest strap). There is Training Peaks app for Garmins, but I have not used it yet.
I moved to Garmin from Polar because Polar has only one and quite old model with altimeter and it is not clear how long it will be supported.
Suunto Spartan at the time was not ready – many functions were not implemented at the time I purchased 935, probably situation has changed since then.
Also note that Garmin 645 will be available soon which does all you need.
