I would suggest the 16-week plan. Once it’s scheduled in your Training Peaks account, extend the Transition period (at the beginning) to allow for more general preparation time.
I’m 62 and have a goal of summiting Mt Shasta in 19 weeks. I hike 1-2 times per week, averaging 8 miles and 1000’ of elevation gain. I’m not currently doing any strength or aerobic training.
I’m looking for suggestion on which training program to select.
