Does anyone have advice for the older tactical athlete? There are certain military jobs where you are expected to pass the same tests as the 20 year olds into your 50s.
I’m thinking Medicine (The doctors and nurses), senior officers and enlisted and various similar senior positions.
The military doesn’t really recognise that the over 40s and over 50s might need a different training programme than the 20 years olds.
We have proven resilience, have been doing this for a long time, but have jobs that make it much more difficult to train as much and bodies that can no longer shrug off injury as quickly as we did when we were younger.
