I am not clear on your question. Are yo asking what is the difference in the training plans we sell or are you asking a more general question about how to train for these different events?
I was wondering what the differences in the max strength/muscular endurance portion of the programs for the mountain running vs mountaineering programs as obviously the strength aspect(carrying a heavy pack) is different?

I still do not know what you are asking. Again, I must ask; are you speaking in general or are you referring to the training plans we sell? You are right that the mountaineering plans we sell and the principles in the book involve carrying a weight up hill. Mountain running is different but can still benefit from max strength and weighted ME.
