Yesterday I did a steep ascent (35%) in the snow (300m elevation gain) after another 1000m elevation gain without snow. During the snow ascent, my HR was way above my AeT (165 bpm) even if I climbed very slowly. I was literaly out of breath and had to take my breath every 30 seconds. But my legs didn’t burn.
What’s the problem? Good muscular endurance but low aerobic fitness?
