Recovery/training between two 100 milers
I completed a 100 miler at the weekend (Lakeland 100 w/4600m ascent) and now have 4 weeks until my next one (UTMB w/10,000m ascent). Not ideal, I realise, but that’s the way the chips have landed.
I’m curious as to what training/taper/workouts I should be considering in this period?
My current plan is to rest for 10 days/fortnight and then resume some light running, building intensity rather than distance. Does this sound reasonable? Should I be looking at something else?
I’ve struggled to find much information on this so any advice would be appreciated.
