Hi all, just bought the uphill athlete book to aid with training for summer Spine (Flare) race in UK.
Keeping it simple and following the Cat 1 basic plan.
In the day to day descriptions for a typical week it talks about ascent on runs as a % of weekly vertical target but no where can I see what it recommends my weekly vertical target ought to be. I expect that the weekly target is a % of the cumulative ascent on the race of course, but no where can I see the recommended % vertical for training on a weekly basis.. unless we steal from the skimo plans?? This is a long trail race rather than skimo etc.
