Hydration and sports drinks
I am concerned about chronic long term dehydration on expedition brought about by simply not enough daily fluids. At higher altitudes, I have less desire to drink more than about a liter a day, whereas I know three or more would be mode desirable.
My solution is mixing water with Gatorade powder. The sweet drink goes down very easy for me. I can drink 4 liters a day no problem.
Ok, so its extra sugar, and maybe I don’t know what else, plus electrolytes.
Anyone see an issue with heavy usage while on high altitude expedition for a couple of months?
