It depends on what you need to train most. If you’re new to structured training, then I would extend the initial phases rather than the middle.

I am planning to complete a 24 week plan expedition training plan, to finish around aug 26-28 2021.
I would like to extend the plan by 8 weeks. Is it recommended to complete the 24 week training plan weeks 1 through 12 as in the original plan, then repeat weeks 12-16, twice, with slight increases in aerobic volume each repeated block of 4 weeks, then carry on to finish weeks 17-24 as in the original plan?
or is there a better method of extending a 24 week expedition plan?
