ADS pace question

    I’m working on improving my ADS situation and wonder if it makes a difference if I am exercising near my AET at the top of Z2 or at the bottom of Z1. Is it the case that as long as the pace keeps me below AET it doesn’t matter or does an hour of Z1 work better or worse than an hour near AET?

    If you have ADS, do your aerobic workouts in Z2.

    Sashi is correct here, most folks that need to build basic aerobic capacity can train primarily in Z2. Once athletes are very well trained then they may need to substitute Z1 for a lot of that volume to be able to recover day to day.
