Hello, I’m looking for recommendations for a light(er) ski pack for backcountry day skis. I’m 4’11” and have a lot of trouble finding a pack to carry shovel, ice axe, and do a ski-carry when needed that still fits my torso. Thanks!- Lucy

I’m 5’6″ so this may be of no help, but I’ve found that running bags are more shorty friendly, so maybe you could try a fastpack style where its not meant to fit quite like a regular ski pack would.

Something like this or this or this, but this guy may be too small

I’m a fan of the mammut nirvana 25L. I’ve managed to fit beacon, shovel, probe, food, water, two puffies, two gloves, goggles, crampons, ice axe, skins, and belay. It’s a little tight, and I wish it had a helmet attachment but you can get that separately. It supports a diagonal carry of the skis for bootpack. I’m 5’2″.
